Flower gardens can transform what was once a common grass lawn into an area that greets all who visit with a sense that the people who live here love life and are willing to share their joy. The gardens that surround the Gray's home are a fine example of this. Jim has often found inspiration to paint from the bright colors and soft shadows that combine to make this truly "A Special Place". The original painting is oil on canvas, through which Jim has captured the bold colors and spontaneity of Fran's garden in full bloom in mid summer.
