Jim Gray Gallery![]() There is a sense of peacefulness and awe that comes when one looks out upon the heights of the Great Smoky Mountains. These ancient and majestic ridges capture the heart and soul of those who visit and those who live in this beautiful part of the world. Early in 2006, Jim Gray was invited by Randy Boyd to come up and see for himself the spectacular view from the Boyd's mountain cabin, with the possibility of a commissioned painting. Jim visited several times throughout the year to see the evolution of lush green summer foliage as it changed to the vibrant colors of autumn. At this stage in Jim's career, he accepts only those commissions for paintings that he is truly excited about tackling. The expansive view from the cabin, and the Boyd's wonderful river home that the painting would occupy, demanded an exceptional work on Jim's part. Like he has in the past, Jim Gray found himself growing ever more enthusiastic about both the subject and the painting. This enthusiasm on all levels led to Jim's creation of a true masterpiece! Special friends and family know well the view from Boyd's Summit; and now the world can see one of God's special places and look with joy upon the heights.
