Driving along Birds Creek Road, in the Catons Chapel area of Sevier County, Tennessee, one can't miss Clyde McCarter's big red tobacco barn. It was built in the early 1930's, out of wormy chestnut. The McCarter children, Dian and Jim, used to play in the barn along with the other kids of the area. One of the other kids was Sevier County's own Dolly Parton.
