River Barn" is the barn at the W.E. and Lily Branham place on the banks of the Little Pigeon River in Pittman Center, Tennessee. The barn is quite old, but is sturdy and sound. It has been cared for and used for years by the Elder Zenith Whaley, a preacher in The Primitive Baptist Church, a farmer, and once one of the best mountain guides around the Smokies. Jim has spent many enjoyable hours talking with Mr. Whaley about the mountains and their folk.
